Educational research content in charge

Reiwa 710Month1The "Fisheries Sustainability (Maruha Nichiro, Seven & i, Ito Scholarship Foundation) Endowed Chair" to be established on the 1st will aim for sustainable development, which is essential for conducting international fisheries business, and will provide education and research to acquire systematic knowledge to ensure sustainability in all processes related to the seafood food system, from fisheries production (theory of fishing regulations, etc.) to processing, distribution, retail, and consumption (labeling, certification, traceability, procurement policy design, etc.). The faculty member will actively disseminate this knowledge both domestically and internationally, and will develop human resources who can contribute to the realization of a sustainable Japanese fisheries industry, and will also be responsible for recurrent education for not only current students but also working adults.

Entry conditions

1. Reiwa 710Month1Applicants must hold or be expected to obtain a doctoral degree as of the date of application, or have research achievements related to the above "Research and Education Contents" or equivalent practical experience.
2. Able to take charge of and share the responsibilities for the courses listed above in the "Educational and research content"
3. It is desirable that the candidate be able to teach lectures in the master's program at graduate school.
4. It is desirable that graduate school classes and research guidance be conducted in English as well as Japanese.

Salary: Daily wage　14,477JPY - Determined based on experience etc.

Allowances: Commuting allowance, housing allowance, bonus (if certain requirements are met), retirement allowance (paid based on length of service)

Working hours: 8:30 to 17:15 (break time 12:00 to 13:00)

Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year's holidays, and other days designated by the president
