Accepted foreign trainees under the project of the Overseas Fishery Cooperation Foundation (OFCF)

 This training is aimed at administrative officials from countries with fisheries relations with Japan who are expected to play a leading role in fisheries administration in the future. This course includes specialized fisheries lectures, exercises, practical training, and individual research.2018We have been cooperating with this training program and accepting trainees since XNUMX.

 November20At the opening ceremony held on the 1st, Director Masashi Maita in charge of international affairs gave a congratulatory speech, and the trainees introduced themselves in Japanese and spoke of their enthusiasm for the training.

 approx 1During the month-long training period, the trainees engaged in exercises and research projects at the Shinagawa Campus, as well as participating in regional training such as visiting fixed net fishing and marine aquaculture in Yamagata, and visiting seafood processing companies and fishing cooperatives in Chiba.

 November19On the same day, a presentation of the results of the training and a closing ceremony were held at our university. At the closing ceremony, a representative of the trainees expressed their gratitude to their supervisors and other related parties, and expressed their aspirations to utilize the knowledge and experience they gained in this training in resource management and the development of the fisheries industry in their home countries. Executive Director Maita also congratulated the trainees for successfully completing the training, saying that the friendships they had built with those involved in this training were just as valuable as the knowledge and experience they gained, and that they should cherish and maintain them.
