Announcement of the 66th Umitaka Festival (11/2-11/4)

Events Those who want to study at university Local / general people

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation in running the Kaitaka Festival.
Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology's Shinagawa Campus will be holding the university festival "Umitakasai" from November 2nd (Sun) to 4th (Tue).
First of all, unlike previous years, there will be no Saturday event this year, and the final day will be held only in the morning, so please be careful when visiting. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding.

This year's theme is "Full Sea." We hope that the Kaitaka Festival will continue to grow in the future, so that flowers will bloom in full glory. We also hope that the Kaitaka Festival will be filled with the passion of the students of Maritime University who love the sea, and that the thoughts of all the visitors will reach the oceans of the world.
This year, the Umitaka Festival Executive Committee will be introducing cashless payment methods to allow for a more convenient payment and dining experience for all customers at the tuna food sales. We will also be introducing new menu items, so please look forward to them.
In addition, there will be food stalls and merchandise stalls run by student groups, as well as a variety of exhibitions and research presentations, the Marine Science Museum and Whale Gallery open to the public, a tuna cutting demonstration, a stage performance by "Sakanakun," a visiting professor and honorary doctor of our university, and the handmade event "Umitaka Marche," all of which are hugely popular every year. All the committee members look forward to seeing you there.
