At the beginning, Deputy Director Kanda of the Career Development Office gave a greeting at the opening of the course and a brief explanation of how to register for the course.

Lectures by experienced career consultants

Mr. Shiotani is an alumnus of Marine University (former Fisheries University), and after graduating from university, he has experienced various occupations and has been appointed as a specially appointed professor in the Career Development Office from this year.In particular, it was published in the April issue of Rakusuikai magazine that, as a founding member of Seven-Eleven Japan, he devoted himself to developing stores nationwide.In addition, as a career consultant, he has a wealth of experience in lecture activities, etc., and it seems that a total of XNUMX people have taken the course so far.Today's lecture was also a group work format planned by Dr. Shiotani.

Think seriously about work and the environment

On the other hand, today, the average life expectancy is increasing for both men and women, the total fertility rate is declining, and the birth rate is declining and the population is aging.In other words, we must also pay attention to changes in the environment.

Here, individual work and group discussions were held on what each individual thought was the most problematic about the employment environment and life environment and how to solve it.After the group work, Professor Shiotani made comments for each group, promoting mutual communication and understanding.

Know yourself and carve out your own path

Adapting to the environment is not enough, and the ability to respond well to the environment is also required.For that reason, we plan to conduct self-assessment to know oneself in the lecture.Career design is "thinking of a strategy to open up the rich life you want by yourself in order to live in your own way".I would like to think about this issue together with group work in the four-part series of lectures, including this one.

Here, while referring to the career design-related terminology "Law of Zyance," he explained the importance of group work through communication, saying, "It is important to get to know each other well in order to create good human relationships."

Don't let yourself go with the flow
